Vatican City is a walled enclave within the city of Rome. With an area of approximately 44 hectares, and a population of 842, it is the smallest sovereign state in the world by both area and population.
Within Vatican City are religious and cultural sites such as St. Peter's Basilica, the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums. They feature some of the world's most famous paintings and sculptures. The unique economy of Vatican City is supported financially by the sale of postage stamps and tourist mementos, fees for admission to museums, and the sale of publications.
It is an ecclesiastical or sacerdotal-monarchical state (a type of theocracy) ruled by the Bishop of Rome – the Pope.
The politics of Vatican City takes place in an absolute elective monarchy, in which the head of the Roman Catholic Church takes power. The Pope exercises principal legislative, executive, and judicial power over the State of Vatican City, which is a rare case of a non-hereditary monarchy.
Vatican City is currently the only widely recognized independent state that has not become a member of the United Nations. The Holy See, which is distinct from Vatican City State, has permanent observer status with all the rights of a full member except for a vote in the UN General Assembly.
There is also a Vatican football championship, with teams including the Swiss Guard's FC Guardia and police and museum guard teams.

In Rome, Saint Peter is the only thing you are always able to see, it doesn't matter where you are.
On the top of Colle Aventino, Saint Peter can be seen, framed by the trees, in the keyhole of the gate of Malta's Order Knights Priorate. This is the most famous view of S.Peter, as well as the most beautiful one. Colle Aventino is famous for the churches from the medieval age, like Santa Sabina, Sant’ Anselmo, Santa Prisca, Sant’Alessio, San Saba e Santa Balbina, but also for the beautiful council rose garden, one of the most famous in all over the world, it extends for 10.000 square meters.

Talete is in an old area of Rome very close to Saint Peter's church called Prati. Since 1911 this section of the city has changed a lot. From a rural territory it became the centre of the community. For young people it's a stimulating environment to join different activities.

The Talete scientific high school is in the center of Rome, near the underground station Ottaviano. In 2016 the students of the school decided to take part of a project of “art against the decline” that took part some schools of Rome. During the week of self-management the students painted on the walls of school pictures of important characters.
